Important Update: Changes to Energy Efficiency Tax Credits

At Advantage Heating & Cooling LLC, we want to keep our Battle Creek customers informed of important changes that could impact your home comfort and energy savings. A recent update to federal legislation has changed the timeline for energy efficiency tax credits, and this affects homeowners planning to install new heating and cooling systems.

What’s Changing?

As part of the newly passed “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” the 25C Energy Efficiency Federal Tax Credit has been amended. Originally, these credits were available for qualifying equipment installed through December 31, 2032. However, under the updated law, credits for certain systems will now expire much sooner—on December 31, 2025.

Here’s what that means for you:
  • Up to $2,000 in credits for qualifying heat pumps
  • Up to $600 in credits for qualifying furnaces and air conditioners

If you’re considering upgrading your system, it’s important to plan ahead so you don’t miss out on these valuable incentives. Acting before the end of 2025 could save you significantly on your investment in comfort and efficiency.

At Advantage Heating & Cooling LLC, our team can guide you through your options, help you select qualifying equipment, and ensure your installation is completed on time.

Don’t wait until it’s too late—plan your upgrade now and maximize your tax savings!
